Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company is a Commercial Water Utility
Company providing quality Water and Sanitation Services to its customers in
Kitwe, Kalulushi and Chambishi. In its quest to improve service delivery, the
Company seeks to employ suitable, highly motivated and goal oriented
professionals to fill the following vacancies

1.0 JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder will provide expert professional advice to staff on all aspects
of performance management, staff training, employee relations and organisation
development.

2.0 JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

a) Providing support to in all matters of staff discipline and staff
grievances;
b) Interpret and implement Conditions of Service in line with Company policies
and procedures to ensure that the Institution is functioning within the
approved framework;
c) Providing support to in managing staff performance;
d) Investigate and monitor issues that may have a negative impact on employee
morale and industrial relations;
e) Prepare individual training and development needs so that staff members are
adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and
effectively prepare Company Training and Development Plan;
f) Providing support in the recruitment, placement, compensation, retention,
and separation of all staff;
g) Managing the training budget in order to ensure that costs are within
budget.

3.0 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

a) Full Grade Twelve Certificate with at least credits in five (05) O’level
subjects including Mathematics and English;
b) Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management;
c) Must have at least three (03) years of experience in human resources
management field.

4.0 SPECIFICATIONS

a) Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of the current Zambia’s
Employment Law and Human Resources best practices;
b) Ability to work with minimum supervision;
c) Influencing, persuading, coaching and negotiating skills;
d) Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
e) Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM).
