JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing and Events Manager will lead the planning and implementation of
effective marketing, customer relations and engagement strategies for the
school. They will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the school’s
online and offline communication channels, developing publications, liaising
with and monitoring social media, driving content and development of the
website and digital advertising. This is a senior management appointment

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

-->Educated to at least university level
-->A marketing or business related degree is desirable
-->We welcome applications from a range of backgrounds, however experience in schools marketing and an appreciation of the aims of independent education is extremely desirable.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALITIES

-->Applicants should be comfortable working in a busy environment and have excellent administration, IT and interpersonal skills.
-->In depth understanding of current practices and principles of marketing, public relations and branding
-->Strong track record of delivering and improving digital campaigns
-->A creative thinker, able to bring new ideas to established processes
-->Proven event management experience
-->Excellent visual and written judgement for the development of creative marketing campaigns
-->Excellent graphic design skills for development of online and offline marketing materials including adverts, flyers, brochures etc. with expertise in Adobe products such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc.
-->Excellent photography, videography and audio skills with experience using Adobe Lightroom and Final Cut / Adobe Premier.
-->Highly literate with an excellent level of written English and IT skills as well as an understanding of social media, digital marketing and modern website design on the WordPress platform.
-->An understanding of the motivations, attitudes and aspirations of parents, children and other stakeholders in the community interested in independent school education
-->Emotional intelligence to engage well with all stakeholders pupils, parents, staff, alumni, the local community, external contacts and more widely
-->The ability to act as an approachable, sympathetic and authentic ambassador
-->Able to demonstrate the behaviors associated with the Chengelo ethos and values

WORKING CONDITIONS

-->A flexible approach to working hours full/ part time and location will be considered although it is expected that the Marketing and Events Manager will be present in school at least 3 days a week.
