# Job Description


BCP is a leading African conservation company which seeks to sustainably
finance wildlife and habitat conservation through the forest carbon markets.
We are working with Community and Government partners to help improve the
conservation management over 1 million hectares of globally significant
wildlife habitats in Zambia, and to benefit 225,000 people.

BCP seeks a talented Impact Monitoring Officer who will be responsible for
initiating and implementation of all measures of impact and reports on how
results are achieved in all the BCP REDD+ project management areas in Lusaka
Province, and parts of Central Province within the Zambezi catchment area. The
IMO must, therefore, establish a high level of interaction and coordination
with all divisions to ensure that BCP’s goals and objectives are attained This
important role will report directly to the Senior Impact Monitoring Officer.
This role will be responsible for Developing and maintaining BCP’s Impact
Monitoring manual IM V2 with clear criteria and indications of success and
co-workers’ responsibilities for collecting, analyzing and reporting data. The
role will manage BCP’s Key Performance Indicators KPI tool and communicate
the company’s performance with all co-workers and will include training BCP
staff and project stakeholders in data collection and reporting methods.

-->Utilize Collaborative, Learning and Adapting Approaches to continually assess BCP projects’ progress and inform project management decision-making.
-->Standardize IM V2 data collection methodologies across BCP’s divisions.
-->Ensure and maintain database integrity and quality.
-->Train BCP staff and project stakeholders in data collection and reporting methods.
-->Keep track of BCP’s projects and quantify beneficiaries in a well maintained projects database.
-->Participate with other divisions in the definition of the overall program strategy and the preparation of annual work plans.
-->Conduct periodic field missions to community project sites to participate in program activities and interact with program partners and beneficiaries and gather feedback.
-->Draft scopes of work and design tools for both internal and external periodic Impact Monitoring surveys
-->Oversee biannual Social Monitoring surveys
-->Ensure the overall quality and relevance of the BCP’s Impact Monitoring program.
-->Periodically participate in external REDD+ or general conservation events related to Impact Monitoring.

ALLIANCE BUILDERS WANTED.

-->Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field preferred
-->4+ years experience in a similar role
-->Strong experience with data collection, management, analysis, and report writing.
-->Training and Impact Monitoring capacity building skills.
-->Dynamic and innovative character, with the ability to respond to work assignments on short deadlines.
-->Strong computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office
-->Basic front-end web design skills are an advantage
-->Familiarity with the use of R and/or Python in data cleaning, analysis and visualization is an advantage
-->Excellent report writing skills.
-->Effective communication with internal and external audiences.
