We are therefore inviting applications to fill the following vacant positions
in the Supply Department Malting Plant Lusaka

LAB TECHNICIAN (x1)

Band X-B Contract Temporary

The successful candidate will report to the Quality Specialist and will be
mainly responsible for the following

> Carry out physical inspection of Barley
> Carry out Truck inspection
> Sampling of Barley from Trucks
> Communicate non-Conformances to Plant Quality Specialist
> Carry out Moisture, Nitrogen analysis
> Carry out Barley Grading on Barley sample
> Sample retention and Registration
> Monitor and spear head offloading of barley in the Silo and bunkers,
> Ensure segregation due to Quality results is strictly adhered to.
> Calibrate and Conduct daily, weekly and Monthly maintenance on the equipment in the Barley Lab.

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following
requirements-

> Minimum of a Certificate in laboratory technology or related programme
> Physically fit
> Good communication and interpersonal skills
> Honesty
> Ability to work on holidays and weekends
> Computer skills

Boiler Attendant (x1)

Band XII-B Contract Permanent

The successful candidate will report to the Team Leader and will be mainly
responsible for the following

> BOILER OPERATION – Ensuring Boiler operates efficiently to supply steam continuously
> Ensuring Coal stocks are adequate to avoid stock outs.
> TEAM WORK -To co-ordinate with production staff and liaise with them so that there is no stoppage.
> SELF DEVELOPMENT- Training needs discussed with superior
> OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HOUSE KEEPING – Boiler and boiler house and surrounding floors kept clean at all times.
> Correct use of PPE’S at all times.
> Safety valves on boilers tested to ensure proper operation.
> SYSTEM- Company administration system followed and deadlines met on time.
> Production times followed timeously.

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following
requirements-

> Minimum of certificate in Mechanical fitting with Knowledge of boiler operations
> EXPERIENCE 2 years as boiler operator
> Physically and medically fit.
> Hard working
> Able to do shift work.
