role

Underground Mechanical Specialist – Zambia/Namibia/DRC

Reports to Maintenance Manager

Kev Performance Areas

> Managing on-site breakdowns, call outs, repairs, modifications and carrying out routine equipment audits
> Providing technical support services and advice to operations
> Managing stock and inventory as well as logistics
> Managing the SHEQ function
> Managing costs

> Good written and verbal communication skills
> Excellent analytical skills
> Excellent decision making ability

Requirements

> Full grade 12 certificate or its equivalent
> Minimum of Diploma in Mcchanical Engineering
> Expericnce in the electrical field is an added advantage
> Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (BIZ)
> Understanding and practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps
> Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience in the hydraulics and mechanical field
> Computer literacy
> Supervisory experience in managing a production crew
> SADC Driver’s licence Class C
