EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)

LEGAL, IMMIGRATION, STATIONERY, CAR HIRE, TRUCK HIRE AND ACCOMMODATION &
CONFERENCE FACILITIES

DAI an implementor of the USAID funded Scaling Up Nutrition Technical
Assistance (SUN TA) project located in Lusaka, Zambia, is issuing this
Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of the following

1\. Legal consultations (specialized in labour and HR issues)
2\. Immigration services
3\. Stationery
4\. Car Hire for project staff traveling in and out of Lusaka to Mumbwa,
Chibombo, Kabwe, Kapiri-Mposhi, Ndola, Kitwe, Mansa, Samfya, Nchelenge,
Kasama, Mbala, Luwingu and Kaputa districts.
5\. Truck Hire (open and containerized) for the transportation of project
supplies from Lusaka to Mumbwa, Chibombo, Kabwe, Kapiri-Mposhi, Ndola, Kitwe,
Mansa, Samfya, Nchelenge, Kasama, Mbala, Luwingu and Kaputa districts
6\. Accommodation & Conference Facilities for district staff working out of
Lusaka and/or for hosting project trainings and meetings.

Vendors must be properly licensed, legally organized businesses,
organizations, or firms and registered for taxation with a valid Tax Clearance
Certificate.

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to identify vendors who
have the capability and interest to provide the described services/supply and
deliver the described products.

RESPONSE SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
The deadline for responding to this EOI is Wednesday 12 May 2021 at 1159 PM.
Responses received after the deadline will not be reviewed and will be
discarded by DAI, subject to the discretion of the project’s management.
Responses may be emailed to SUNTAProcurement@dai.com.
Please address the subject of the email as
“EOI – Legal – Name of Vendor” or
“EOI – Immigration – Name of Vendor” or
“EOI – Stationery – Name of Vendor” or
“EOI – Car Hire – Name of Vendor” or
“EOI – Transportation – Name of Vendor” or
“EOI – Trainings & Conference Facilities – Name of Vendor”.

All information provided by vendors in response to this EOI will be treated
confidentially. DAI will not use the information in any other context or
setting and we will not reveal details to other parties.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Request for Quotation (RFQ) document containing detailed specifications,
terms of reference, selection criteria, deadlines and place of submission and
opening of bids will be made available to interested parties.

OBLIGATIONS
DAI will not reimburse respondents for the costs incurred with preparing a
response, nor does issuance of this EOI obligate DAI to award a subcontract or
purchase order. If a Vendor is found to have made false or misleading claims
or statements, obtains confidential information, or receives improper
assistance, DAI reserves the right to reject an EOI submitted by or on behalf
of a vendor.

CLARIFICATION OF SUBMISSIONS
DAI may require a respondent to submit additional information in order to
better judge a response.

FACTORS FOR CONSIDERATION

Responders are expected to write a statement, explaining how they can address
DAI’s needs, including

> Confirmation of ability and interest to provide the described service/supply and deliver the described products.
> Provide the full names, title and contact details of your company point of contact.
> Confirmation that your business is registered and licensed in Zambia to provide the services/supply and deliver the products.
> Confirmation that your company is a going-concern with the financial liquidity to fulfill orders.

These responses will be used to determine if Vendors shall be invited to
submit a detailed quotation.

NOTIFICATION PROCESS
Upon receipt and review of responses, DAI will invite Vendors to submit their
detailed quotations for procurement opportunities anticipated by DAI.
Interested Vendors may be invited to respond to a solicitation, and/or
multiple solicitations.
