Oak University is recruiting suitably qualified and experienced heads of
department, lecturers and tutors in the following fields

1\. School of Business-subject areas of specialization

> Accounting -financial & management, audit and tax
> Information technology
> Marketing
> Management
> Strategy

2\. School of Education and School of Natural Sciences

> Maths
> English
> Physics
> Chemistry
> Biology
> Civic education
> Social studies
> Environmental science
> Local languages

Head of Department

Reports to the Executive Dean. Principal accountabilities shall include the
following

1. Offer support, advice and supervision to lecturers, parents and students
2. Facilitate regular staff meeting and curriculum planning meetings
3. Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum
4. Work in partnership with staff team and external institutions that run similar Programmes and management committee in implementing a broad balanced and appropriate curriculum
5. Assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining a record to monitor students’ progress, achievement and attendance
6. Develop and review departmental teaching sessions
7. Plan for students practical and field trips
8. Submit programme proposals for new enrolments to the Executive Dean.
9. Uphold, maintain, implement and review institution policies.
10. Coordinate lecturers’ association meetings in the department
11. Ensure minimum developmental needs are met for easy assimilation of information by different student groupings
12. Maintain all records for students’ examination and subscriptions and ensure timely submissions of examining body
13. Be able to lecture
14. Undertake any other assignment given by the Executive Dean.

Requirements

> Full Grade 12 Certificate
> First degree from a recognized institution
> MBA/MSc/MA or Associate Member of ZICA/CIMA/ACCA/CIM/ZIM/CIPS/ZIPS
> 5 years lecturing experience
> Proficient in Microsoft office-excel, word and use of power point
> A PhD or DBA will be an added advantage
> Holder of teaching methodology certificate will be an added advantage
