Each Project Officer is expected to implement a results based participatory
advocacy project performing all project management functions and she / he will
work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and will be
responsible for the following major duties
1. Initiation Study the project’s agreement clearly identifying its initial defined scope and stakeholders, identifying linkages of the project to ZCEA programmes and aligned strategic objectives of the Association.
2. Planning Using the respective project’s document especially the results framework, develop and document project plans (DIP), project deliverables (MEALs), requirements and schedule.
3. Execution Implement the project utilising all schedules, procedures and templates ensuring to bring about the expected results while prudently applying allocated resources.
4. Monitoring and control Ensure agreed and approved project is within scope, on time and within budget with minimum risks.
5. Closing Documentation, stakeholder information dissemination, handing over deliverables and or equipment, identifying and recommending to management strategies for strengthening the sustainability of the projects’ results.
Required Qualifications and experience
> Minimum qualification Bachelor Degree in any social sciences.
> Knowledge and skills in applying advocacy strategies, stakeholder mobilisation and engagement is essential
> A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience and proven track record in (operational) RBM/ of non-governmental organisations, preferably of NGOs involved in advocacy work.
> Specialised/ Further education in Result-Based Management is an added advantage.
> Demonstrable excellent analytical and writing skills.
> Flexible and adaptable to dynamic changes and fast-paced work environment.
> Understanding of the child rights framework would be an added advantage.
> Valid, more than 2 years experience, driver’s license an added advantage.
