Job Description

Assignment Background

IAP program launched a second round of call for inclusive business and
innovation proposals and subsequently started the process to select qualified
inclusive business applications with the aim of contracting and co-funding to
implement their inclusive businesses. This process of selection involves
action steps and deliverables which include; eligibility screening and concept
note evaluation, concept note pitching and shortlisting, Full business plan
development, due diligence, selection and contracting. In order to deliver on
these stages IAP team will seek the service of qualified external business
development consultants to support the full business plan development

business plans.

Scope of the assignment

external consultants to offer technical support of shortlisted applicants
during full business plan preparation and submission. The IAP team will
evaluate the applications and shortlist applications for full business plan
development. The full business plan (FBP) development requires that the
applicants are technically supported to provide the right content as per FBP
template and also follow through timely submissions. The external BDS
consultant will play a great role in ensuring this deliverable is realised.

Expected results

Shortlisted applicants have developed technically sound full business plans
(FBP) as per IAP standard and submitted timely. The number of the FBPs to be
delivered by the consultant shall be determined by the number of applicants
shortlisted. However, we anticipate not to have more than twenty (20) FBPs
developed.

location within Zambia. However, the anticipated geographic scope is Lusaka,
Eastern, Central, Copperbelt, North Western and Southern Provinces. The
consultant is therefore to provide costs based on both the scenario of working
with the applicants close to their normal operational areas or outside of the
normal operational areas.

Budget and payments for the assignment.

The IAP project has a predetermined budget lumpsum to cater for the cost of
this assignment, since it is not possible at this stage to determine the
number of FBPs to be technically supported, the consultant is therefore

development support exercise and reporting . As indicated under the
geographical scope, it may be important to provide costing proposals based on
two scenarios delivering the services within greater Zambia and upcountry
locations.

FBP developed and submitted by the applicants. In addition, as support; the
consultant is expected to provide proof of meetings/workshops conducted to
