We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position

Position Buyer (Engineering Spares and Consumables)

Contract Permanent

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be
accountable for the following

> Developing specifications for materials and services
> Preparation of requests for quotations and invitations to tender
> Identifying of suitable supplier and conducting supplier appraisal
> Placement and expediting of purchase orders
> Liaising with courier companies, clearing agents and customs officials
> Monitoring of supplier performance

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following
minimum requirements

> Diploma in Business Administration/Purchasing and Supply Management
> A certificate in Engineering will be an added advantage
> 1-2 years’ experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management in a FMCG environment
> Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
> Inventory management knowledge
> Analytical and good with numbers
> Established negotiations skills
> Ability to work with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
