Part time Database Network Manager

Nector Prime Accounting Solutions is a firm of chartered accountants
registered by the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. In order to serve
our clients better we are now looking for a mature part time Database Network
Manager with proper traceable references & extensive Microsoft SQL Server
undoubtable knowledge

Essential Knowledge required

(1) Enable remote workstations access to the Ms SQL Server 2016 database
either standard or express
(2) Enabling the TCP port
(3) Make TCP port static
(4) Restarting the SQL Server to make sure the changes take effect
(5) Configuring the fire
(6) Set the inbound rules
(7) Set the specific port, example see point 3 (for example either using the
default 1433 or any)
(8) Make sensible rules descriptions
(9) Start the server with the new rules

Experience

This job is for mature professional with extensive multinational work
experience NOT students with scant knowledge.

(1) Age from 35 – 60 years
(2) At least 7 years’ experience in server management
(3) ODBC Less DNS 32 BIT knowledge added advantage
(4) Able to install and distinguish ODBC 32 & 64 BIT on all workstation
(5) NO programming language required (Not part of this job)
(6) Experience in the installation of the VPN network
(7) A degree in computing (UNZA or CBU) is essential or
(8) 10 years’ experience for those with diplomas (IMIS)
