Fresh from the farm

Ilondola Meat Market located in Lusaka, is looking to find a suitable person
to fill the role of a Blockman/Butcher.

The Blockman/Butcher will

> Cut meat products according to standard cuts and joints for beef, lamb, goat and pork.
> Manage Sausage production – Hungarians, Russions, and Boerwors
> Assist with stock takes, receiving of stock.
> Ensure correct weighing and pricing
> Check sell by and expiry dates for all products
> Ensure minimum waste, correct portion control and packaging
> Ensure personal hygiene and follow health and safety procedures
> MaintainCompany standards and merchandise.

Requirements for this Position

> Grade 12/ Senior Certificate or equivalent qualifications
> Previous meat processing experience in a meat market/butchery environment with traceable references
> 2 – 5 years of retail experience
> Machinery Competent
> A drivers license will be an added advantage

> Should have high integrity and be honest/trustworthy
> Able to coordinate multiple-tasks and manage pressure.
> Should be proactive and trainable
> Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs
