Matt Children’s Hope Foundation (MCHF) is a start-up nonprofit with
registration No. RNGO 101/0956/2019 a section 16 under the Non-Governmental
Organization Registration Act of 2019 of the laws of Zambia. It operates
towards specific objectives to improve the rural lives of children and youths
between the ages of five and twenty-five. It commits its efforts to break the
circle of poverty observing its goal; “World of Positive Minds and Free from
Poverty”. MCHF’s mission is to eradicate poverty through a change of mindset
in education, health, promoting and enabling quality services to vulnerable
rural communities of Zambia. In this regard, it wishes to here a non-paid
(volunteer) qualified Finance and Accounting Manager as the organisation
leading its early stage.

The position of Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for running
the accounting and financial activities of the organisation. The position will
analyse the economic stability of the organisation and provide financial
information to other departments, enabling these departments to make budgeting
and funds mobilisation decisions. The Finance and Accounting Manager will
report on costs, productivity, margins and organisation expenditures.

Duties and Responsibilities

> Assisting in the preparation of budgets
> Managing records and receipts
> Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
> Preparing balance sheets
> Processing invoices
> Developing in-depth knowledge of organisational finances and process
> Providing customer service to stakeholders/clients
> Resolve financial disputes raised
> Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
> Supporting the entire organisation with projects and tasks when required financially.

Qualification and Experience

> Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
> Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred.
> Excellent leadership and communication skills.
> Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
> Exceptional math skills.
