Research Nurse REF No. RN/RV/02/02/21

Reports to the Senior Research Nurse. The incumbent conducts assigned study
procedures and adhere to procedural and international guidelines for research
conduct

Main Duties

> Maintain strict participant confidentiality and privacy at all times.
> Be accountable and responsible for study resources and supplies, such as data collection forms, participant files, study equipment, and facilities.
> Review and contribute to development and revisions of study materials and tools.
> Maintain high quality study documentation at all times as directed by Principal Investigators, Programme Manager, Senior Research Nurse and Study Standard Operating Procedures
> Communicates with fellow staff members openly and honestly about study progress, issues, and/or problems that may arise
> Actively participates in problem solving
> Works collegially as part of the study team
> Effectively collaborate with the community and district staff as necessary
> Provides high quality service to participants by maintaining pleasant relationships at all times and attending to participants in a timely manner
> Be responsive to enquiries from participants’ partners and family members as required
> Completes all required study training, including routine Human Subject Protection and Good Clinical Practices training
> Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the study protocol.
> Assist with study translations as requested.

Qualifications

> Grade 12 Certificates
> Diploma in Nursing
> Experience in research activities
> Conversant in MS office applications
> Member of General Nursing Council
> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
